Star Wars Icon Dies!

Star Wars Icon Dies!

Star Wars fans everywhere are dealing with conflicting emotions.

While fans everywhere are still celebrating the release of the new “Rogue One” movie, news of Carrie Fisher’s passing was announced.

On December 27th, Fisher, who played Princess Leia Organa in the original Star Wars movie, suffered cardiac arrest during a flight from London to Los Angeles.  After being treated at the hospital, she later succumbed.

Billie Lourd, Fisher’s daughter, issued a statement through their family spokesman. “It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning,” Simon Halls told PEOPLE Magazine.

She will be profoundly missed.
