“Cancer-Free, Credits Test”
Two days ago, Ben Stiller revealed that just two years ago, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
This comes as a surprise to many fans, because he didn’t widely publicize his condition.
Despite the diagnosis, Stiller is now cancer-free thanks to an early detection performed by a Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) test.
Reportedly, experts frown upon this test because it could lead to unnecessary nonlethal cancer treatments.
“The controversy about the test is that once you get treatment for prostate cancer, things can happen: incontinence, impotence,” he said. “It’s the second most deadly cancer, but it’s also one of the most survived cancers, if it’s detected early.”
Stiller followed his heart, got a PSA test and beat the odds – take THAT cancer!
