Fetty Wap Sued!
A rapper buys a beat, makes a song and releases it. If he’s lucky enough, the song will become a hit and he’ll make millions of dollars.
According to TMZ, Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” is a true testament to that. There’s just one problem. Danish songwriter Lazar Lakic is claiming that Fetty and “Trap Queen” producer, Tony Fadd, stole the beat and now owes him money!
Here’s the semi-shorter version of what transpired.
Lakic purchased the exclusive rights to the “Trap Queen” beat from Fadd.
Fadd then turned around and sampled the beat in “Trap Queen”.
For those who aren’t music gurus, this means that Fadd sold a beat to Lakic that wasn’t supposed to be used by anyone else.
Fadd realized his mistake and tried to buy back the exclusive rights, but Lakic turned him down.
