Officer Shelby Surrenders…
But is Later Released!
Prosecutors filed an affidavit on Thursday stating that officer Shelby “reacted unreasonably by escalating the situation from a confrontation with Mr. Crutcher” when she shot Crutcher on Sept. 16th.
The medical examiner classified his death as a homicide.
So overnight, Officer Betty Shelby turned herself in and was booked on a first degree manslaughter charge for murdering Terence Crutcher.
The unfortunate thing is that after all of that, twenty minutes after Officer Shelby was booked, she posted a $50,000 bond and was released!
Yes, she is no longer behind bars! WHAT IN THE ENTIRE HELL?!
Let’s break this down: Shelby was responding to a domestic violence call when she found Crutcher in the street due to his car being stopped.
