Police Threaten To Boycott 49ers Games!

San Francisco 49ers’ QB Colin Kaepernick has gained national attention with his protest against police brutality and injustice by not standing for the National Anthem.

His actions have sparked both national praise and criticism from people all over the U.S. He then went on to say that he “couldn’t show pride in a flag that represents a country that oppresses minorities.”

Days after his initial protest, the Santa Clara Police Department sent a letter to the 49ers not only disapproving of his protest, but threatening to stop working the home games.

Their job is to protect and serve, but apparently they don’t mind not showing up for work.

The Santa Clara Police Department Chief, Michael Sellers, basically encouraged those officers to get out of their feelings because they have a duty to protect their community.

The safety of our community is our highest priority.”

Would the police officers REALLY allow their community’s safety to be put at risk by not showing up for work?
