President Obama Pardons
NFL Wide Receiver’s Grandmother!
Wednesday was a great day for the Denver Broncos’ Wide Receiver, Demaryius Thomas.
President Obama commuted 214 inmates, including 60-year-old Minnie Pearl Thomas – Demaryius Thomas’ grandmother. She was serving a life sentence for trafficking cocaine and after 16 years, will be freed on December 1st of this year – just in time for Christmas!
“Wanna thank the @POTUS for everything he’s done for my family, and a lot more families giving them second changes. Couldn’t be a better day!” Thomas immediately tweeted.
Not only did President Obama pardon his grandmother, but also pardoned his mother, Katrina Stuckey Smith, who was freed last November after serving 15 years of her 20 year sentence for a drug distribution conviction.
