Ex-KKK Leader David Duke
To Run For U.S. Senate!
Read this quote: “I believe in equal rights for all and respect for all Americans…What makes me different is I also demand respect for the rights and the heritage of European Americans.” Now read this one: “European-Americans need at least one man in the United States Senate, one man in the Congress, who will defend our rights and heritage,” Mr. Duke said. Notice a pattern?
Well, those are the words of Ex-KKK leader, David Duke. Today, he announced his desire to run for office. Yep, he wants to trade his hat for a seat in the U.S. Senate for Louisiana… and I mean that literally and figuratively. At a time when racial tensions are at an all-time high, many people feel that this is the LAST thing that needs to happen.
Even Senate Republican’s Executive Director Ward Baker expressed his disapproval stating, “The Republican Party has great candidates for the seat being vacated by Sen. David Vitter, but Mr. Duke is not one of them”. The Chairman of the Republican Party, Roger Villere, echoed this response by saying, “The Republican Party opposes, in the strongest possible terms, David Duke’s candidacy for any public office. David Duke is a convicted felon and a hate-filled fraud who does not embody the values of the Republican Party”. Ouch!
Will the Republican Party stand by their vow to ensure that Duke has NO CHANCE of getting that seat? We’ll have to see…
